Paul Campanella is one of a few multi-talented performers in show business today. He is an Actor, Singer, Comedic Performer, Musician, published Songwriter and Show Producer. In August 2006 Paul began appearing as Anthony Nunzio Sr. in the hit show "TONY & TINA'S WEDDING" at The RIO All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. In 2007 he was asked by the Director to take an additional role as Sal Antonucci, the Photographer, and his hilarious interpretation of the character even had fellow cast members cracking up, showing his versatility as an actor portraying roles that are polar opposites. Other acting credits include work for Spike TV/King of Vegas promo trailers, and The Golf Channel on the "Rip it 300" infomercial. In July 2006 Paul finished filming his motion picture debut in the movie tentatively titled "HEROES" where he plays a lead role as FBI agent Charles McDermot. DVD release date TBD. In September 2007 Paul finished filming his scenes in his role as Cold Fingers Johnny in the new mob comedy feature called "ONE LONG DAY". Release date is Spring 2008.
On August 25th, 2007 Paul debuted his new Las Vegas Show titled
"LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!" to a sold out audience and received a standing ovation and rave reviews. The show is now being pitched to Producers and major Las Vegas Casinos, with one strip Casino expressing interest already!
As a singer he is known by his peers as possessing one of the most powerful voices on the music scene today. National respect came when Larry Butler, Grammy Award winning Producer of Kenny Rogers' multi platinum album "The Gambler", encouraged Paul to "come to Nashville". After hearing a demo of Paul singing an original composition, Mr. Butler made the following comment: "I have listened...and I must say I'm impressed. It is very refreshing to hear this kind of talent. I would like to compliment you on a great vocal performance." Paul went to Music City and entered into a joint venture with Larry to work his songs on Music Row, and while there, he refined his singing and songwriting skills in gospel, pop, and contemporary music. Prior to meeting with Mr. Butler, Paul already had songs published with Chris Christian Music, producer of B.J. Thomas and Amy Grant, and Harlem/Halwill Music, publishers for Spyro Gyra. Paul has performed as a singer/entertainer and actor in showrooms, lounges, and clubs all across the U.S., Canada, the Carribean and Las Vegas, and has shared the stage with such show business favorites as Charlie Callas, Pete Barbutti, Nelson Sardelli, Freddie Bell, Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt, Dennis Bono and many more. He has appeared on national television singing the American and Canadian National Anthems for the HBO event, "Night of the Young Heavyweights," broadcast on 9/27/03, and he wrote, produced and performed the theme song for the Empire Sports Cable Network's national coverage of the 1999 Stanley Cup finals. |
